In our day case unit, patients come from home to have a cardiac procedure, such as a coronary angiogram, ablation studies and pacemaker insertion, and then go home following a short recovery period.
With 31 beds in total, the medical ward incorporates the four-bedded oncology day care ward. A 9 bedded ward providing care to patients receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy and those suffering from symptoms associated with cancer and its treatments. Provides care for haematology patients who are unwell at the time of diagnosis or who become unwell at any point. The ward has 10 beds and 4 side rooms. Open from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday.
Women who need to stay in hospital whilst they are pregnant are usually cared for in the Antenatal Bay. Women requiring a low risk induction of labour will also be cared for here.
